"We're all in the same storm, but we're not all in the same boat."
This quote has been circulating around the internet recently, and it really puts into perspective some things if you focus on the statement. We are all going through a global pandemic. We are all living something that will be written in history books for the future generations to learn about. We are all handling this uncertain time a little different. But most importantly, we are all equipped in different ways to handle this conflict. My boat may not be the same as your boat.
Without getting into too much detail regarding status, wealth and mental health, we all need to be in this together for each other. We are each struggling in different ways with this pandemic, and one way you can help support your local YMCA is to continue paying your memberships, even if you are uncertain if you'll use the facility when we are open June 1st.
Or maybe you're not a member. (then boy are you missing out on a GREAT family with so much to offer both for your health and well being but also your sense of belonging! But that can be a discussion for another time.) You can help support us but scrolling up to the top of the page and clicking the DONATE NOW button! Every penny helps, especially with normalcy seeming so far away.
We love our community, and we want to continue offering our wonderful programs, our safe space, and our open doors to our neighbors, but we need your help!
Back to being impacted in different ways by these scary times. Unable to make a monetary contribution? That is totally FINE! You can help just by being YOU! Social Responsibility is another strong piece of our YMCA puzzle, and that's where you can also help! Save the banner "I'M STICKING WITH THE Y", attach it to a picture of you or your family and share it with your friends on social media with the following hashtags!!
