Welcome to our beautiful, much loved building which opened in 1988 and is the heart of health and wellness in Piscataquis County. We offer our 6 lane, 120,000 gallon swimming pool, spacious group exercise room, 2 racquetball courts and a full fitness center.
In 2018, our natatorium was renovated by a local company who continues to be very generous to our small YMCA. New paint, new lights and fresh signage were just a few upgrades our pool received thanks to the hard work of Gordon Contracting. The pool continues to be a staple to many of our members and community, being the only indoor professional swimming pool in Piscataquis County.
A wonderful family thought of the PR YMCA as such as special place to them as well and the community that they have ensured yearly contributions to maintain our Fitness Center to be up to date with the latest fitness equipment as well as simply providing a safe and comfortable place for others to exercise. Our 600 sq foot Fitness Center offers 11 cardio machines, more than 10 stationary strength machines along with dozens of free weights and other weight lifting equipment.
Other opportunities for facility include 2 racquetball courts, our indoor rockwall, outdoor basketball and pickleball courts! Recently added in 2019, our new pickleball courts are open to the public for use for FREE! Equipment is available during open hours at the front desk . Equipment is free for members and a small fee of $5 for non-members.
