With our pool opening up again for the first time since initially closing in March, we have put together a few pool guidelines and expectations for our members.
Please read through the document to the left and be prepared for the first day we open the pool! We can't wait to see our lovely swimmer's faces again!

Our certified and dedicated lifeguards are almost all educated directly on site from our Life Guard Instructor. Being a certified lifeguard is more than just observing swimmers at our pool, it is about water safety in all bodies of water and personal pools at home. Learning the signs of a potential accident and having to tools to execute a safe rescue are vital to ensuring water safety for all involved.

Aquatic Fitness is a great alternate workout setting for all ages. It is very popular for more serious athletes who wish to recover from a competition or game while still exercising their muscles. It's also great for anyone looking for a low impact, high recovery rate workout!

At the Y, we believe swimming is fun and an essential part of healthy living and that every child should have the opportunity how to be safe around water! Our swim lessons are structure so each swimmer progresses in a strategic way to advance their skills while learning water safety for all bodies of water.

The Waves Swim Team is the Piscataquis Regional YMCA’s competitive swimming program. We welcome children ages 6-18 who are interested in challenging themselves in the areas of mental and physical training and the sport of Competitive Swimming. Our Swim Team trains in the Piscataquis Regional YMCA’s Pool (25-yard, 6 lanes) and competes throughout the State of Maine
