Our Mission
The Piscataquis Regional YMCA is dedicated to promoting healthy spirit, mind, and body through programs and services grounded in Christian Heritage and the Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Code of Conduct
Members and program participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The following guidelines have been developed to help make YMCA programs safe and enjoyable for all participants. Additional rules may be in effect for particular programs and athletic leagues as deemed necessary.
Participants shall:
- Show respect to all participants and staff
- Refrain from using foul language
- Refrain from causing bodily harm to other participants and staff
- Show respect for equipment, supplies and facilities
The Piscataquis Regional YMCA reserves the right to revoke membership privileges. Each situation will be evaluated on its own merit. The PRYMCA is a non-proftit 501c(3) organization. We do not turn anyone away due to the inability to pay. Please see our scholarship program for more informtion.
Youth Usage Policy
Youth Age 10 and Under
Youth 10 and under must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian at all times they are not in a class or child care activity. Parents must accompany their child while changing in the locker rooms.
Youth Age 11 - 13
Youth 11-13 must be directly supervised when utilizing the Fitness Center, but do not require other direct supervision while in the facility.
Youth Age 14 - 18
Youth 14-18 may come to Y unsupervised.
Pools
Any child age 7 or under, or any non-swimmer, must be accompanied and within arms reach of an adult in the water. Non-swimmers must stay in the shallow end; a swim test is required for use of the deep end. A lifeguard may administer a swim test at any time if he/she feels it is deemed necessary. Lap swimmers, whether adult or child must be using the time for swimming laps.
